Jazz Scene, August 2009 Daniel Feldman, Fernando Gomez, Tyler Eaton, Chase Morrin ~Latin Connection Duo wins the DOWNBEAT award two years in a row for best Latin group 2009 and 2010~ ~Latin Connection Duo wins 2nd place for best combo at the 2010 Reno Jazz Festival~ The national 2009 and 2010 DOWNBEAT Music Award recipients with Chase's original arrangements and compositions, Latin Connection was created by 16 year old composer/pianist, Chase Morrin when he was 15. The band plays original jazz and Latin jazz compositions written by Chase and puts together unique and original Latin jazz arrangements—striving for the best sounds.  The band invites a variety of talented guest artists to feature and hopes to promote live music and the jazz tradition in San Diego.  The band rehearses once a week and invites you to come rehearse with them.  Check the Latin Connection calendar or Chase's calendar for details.
