The national 2009 DOWNBEAT Music Award recipient with three of Chase's original arrangements and compositions, Latin Connection was created by 16 year old composer/pianist, Chase Morrin when he was 15. The band plays original jazz and Latin jazz compositions written by Chase and puts together unique and original Latin jazz arrangements—striving for the best sounds. The band invites a variety of talented guest artists to feature and hopes to promote live music and the jazz tradition in San Diego. The band rehearses once a week and invites you to come rehearse with them. Check the Latin Connection calendar or Chase's calendar for details.
